Saturday Night Ceilidh (“KAY-lee”)

The Williamsburg Scottish Festival is the only festival in Virginia to have its Ceilidh entertainment in a large tent to ensure that the audience and band can celebrate in comfort, rain or shine! Our venue offers great lighting and acoustics. There will be plenty of food, and both our beers tents will be running to make sure you have an enjoyable time. Complete your weekend of fun at the Williamsburg Scottish Festival by joining us at the Ceilidh Saturday night!

Ceilidh festivities kick-off at 5:30 PM at the Jamestown Beach Campgrounds immediately following the Festival.

Food and beverages will be available for a picnic-style Scottish dinner. Enjoy enchanting traditional Celtic harmonies and rhythms while you picnic. Then be entertained by the rousing sounds of Celtic rock will stir your blood and get your feet stomping! And there’s more!

At about 10:00 a Clan Rally and torch light parade led by pipers will begin, followed by a traditional Ceilidh where YOU can perform, sing a Gaelic tune, tell a Highland tale, recite a little Burns, or anything that stirs your heart and Gaelic blood. This is the way it was done in the heather covered hills of Scotland when the Clans gathered ‘round the fire to celebrate. See you there, Aye!
